What we do
We find the shows
A locale’s live music is scattered across a dozen places at once, and half of it never reaches the listings people actually check. We bring a whole metro together on one page, every night, and keep it honest.
We give a locale one page
A visitor should not need six tabs to find out who is playing. Each property is a single calendar for its whole locale — Rock Tampa Bay alone covers Tampa, St. Petersburg, Clearwater and the beaches — with a page for every venue and every act that keeps coming back.
We do not charge for any of it
Listings are free for venues and free for artists, and there is no paywall for fans. Anyone can add a show. Corrections come back to us from the people who know the room.
The ROCKS
9 promises. They do not change from one locale to the next, and they do not change when it gets inconvenient.
1Always free.
Free for the bands, free for the venues, free for the fans. No paywall, no fee to be listed, no charge to be found. There is no version of this site you have to pay for.
2Ads and affiliate links pay for this — never bands or venues.
Somebody has to keep the lights on, so the sites carry advertising and we earn a small cut when a ticket link works out. What we will never do is charge a band or a room to be here, or move anyone up the page because they paid. Free with no explanation invites the question, so there it is.
3We never invent a show, and we fix what is wrong fast.
Every listing comes from a real source — the venue, the ticket seller, or the band themselves. Our own answer engine only ever answers from those listings; it will say it does not know before it will make something up. Tell us a date is wrong and the correction reaches every page it touched.
4No account, no app, no popup.
Nothing stands between you and the answer — no sign-up wall, no download, no modal on arrival asking for your email. One page tells you who is playing tonight, on the phone in your hand, at six o’clock on a Friday.
5You ask, we build.
A fan, a band or a venue asking for something is the best thing that happens to us all week. We answer every request, and we build the good ones.
6Every act gets the same treatment.
The Tuesday songwriter at a beach bar gets the same page, the same listing and the same care as the arena headliner. Size is not what makes a show worth going to.
7Your email is for show alerts. Nothing else.
We ask for an address for exactly one reason: to tell you when a band or a venue you follow books a date. It is never sold, never rented, never used for anything else, and one click stops it for good.
8We are not here to harvest you.
We have no interest in personal information about our fans, our bands or our venue owners. We do not build profiles on people and we do not sell or trade anyone’s data.
9We treat people right.
We answer our email, we admit it when we get something wrong and fix it, and we never punch down. The smallest band in the newest room gets the same respect as anyone else.
